Dishoom is a small, UK-based chain of upscale Indian restaurants. This is not where you go for a takeaway curry! The food is authentic and delicious, and the cookbook will help you recreate many of their signature dishes.

My family and I were lucky enough to have dinner at the Canary Wharf location on a recent vacation. We tried several of the dishes there that I look forward to cooking myself!

Kachumber

Kachumber, what the book calls the closest thing they have to a salad, is very close to something that graces tables in the southern US all summer long. It's great to pair with heavier dishes, as it's cool and crunchy. Add or remove elements to your liking, or in accordance to what your garden is giving you this season. The only requirement is the cucumber!
