Yogurt Flatbreads (without the flavored butters)

Milk Street Tuesday Nights

Dinner soon and you need some flatbreads? This recipe can make it happen in about an hour.

If your yogurt is too thick to incorporate all the flour, like mine was because I used the Greek yogurt I had on hand, just add water a little at a time until it all comes together.

I did not have it in me to make a flavored butter on this night, but those are also pretty easy and you can make it to your own tastes. I describe the method and the different options at about 8 minutes into the video. I think if you're serving it as a vehicle for a highly spiced dish, like the Indian Spiced Beef and Peas we made to go with it, you don't really need the flavored butters anyway.

I've made similar flatbreads several times before, but apparently only once on the channel. This recipe was definitely quicker and easier than the naan from Dishoom (https://youtu.be/dii2TArTKDE) but I think I prefer the results of the Dishoom recipe. That one has a couple of long resting periods, which might help this one if you have the time, but I haven't tried that yet.
