Cilantro Rice

Milk Street Tuesday Nights

I finally made rice on the stovetop in the traditional (American, at least) way and didn't mess it up completely. Yay!

You could, however, easily make the rice in a rice cooker and then add the cilantro mixture when it's done. There's nothing special about the way the rice is cooked until you add that, after it's fully cooked.

This was good, but not as good (IMO) as a recipe I'd made in the past; I was hoping this would be as good or better. I would definitely prefer more lime, and wish I'd had more cilantro available when I made the recipe. Next time!

I reference a recipe I've made before in the video, called Mambo Rice from Guy Fieri. The proportions are different and it includes a lot more lime (which I like!), but the technique is very similar. You can find that recipe here: https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/guy-fieri/mambo-rice-recipe-1946928
