Garam masala is one of the most common seasonings used in Indian cuisine. And sure, you can buy it already made, but would that get the most accurate results for the recipes in this book? No. So we made our own, following the recipe exactly.

Don't worry, there are definitely some seasoning mixes that the authors suggest are worth buying, because the ingredient list is EVEN LONGER. I definitely had to visit an Indian grocery store to get all of the ingredients needed. Some are readily available in a standard American grocery store, but definitely not all of them!

I think this is included in most of the recipes in this book, so we will see how long this single batch lasts us. Stay tuned to see how we use it!
