Whole Grilled Okra

A couple notes up front: if you don't like very spicy food, half the cayenne in the recipe (at least), and if you think you don't like slimy okra, give it a good char and it'll be fine!

This was another good grilled (not fried!) okra recipe, but I'd definitely alter it a bit next time -- mostly for the heat. My husband (who fears slimy okra) loved it, but it was a bit too spicy for the rest of us.

My grill master just grilled the whole okra directly on the grill grates. That worked out, but I'd be too afraid of losing one to the coals. But if you don't have a grill, you can cook it on a cast iron pan, or even broil it in the oven!
