Mustard Bâtons

Around My French Table

These mustard bâtons are both very low effort and delicious. Plus, you can make them ahead! Freeze bâtons on parchment (or wax paper) until they are frozen solid, then pop them in a freezer bag and all you have to do is give them an egg wash, sprinkle with the topping of your choice, and they'll bake up in about 15 minutes.

If you don't LOVE mustard, you still may enjoy these. They do taste like the dijon mustard used, though, so if you really hate it...fill them with something else. Pesto, sundried tomato spread, tapenade, shredded cheese...the options are really endless. Top them with whatever you like, too! Sesame seeds, everything bagel seasoning, or even furikake would be great options.
